Palliative care is for patients with a serious, advanced or terminal illness where the priority has shifted from cure to comfort. It is not giving up. It is a deliberate change of focus towards controlling pain and distressing symptoms, protecting dignity and allowing the patient to remain at home with the people who matter to them.
Life Line provides palliative nursing at home in Lahore for patients with advanced cancer, end-stage organ disease, advanced neurological illness and other terminal conditions. Our nurses manage pain and medication as prescribed, control symptoms such as breathlessness, nausea, constipation and agitation, provide meticulous mouth and skin care, and handle positioning, hygiene and feeding gently.
We also care for the family, because they carry most of this. We explain what is happening in plain language, prepare relatives for what to expect, show them what they can do, respect religious and cultural wishes at every stage, and make sure no one feels they are managing alone at three in the morning. Our staff are chosen for this work as much for their temperament as their skills.
When treatment is no longer aimed at cure, families ask for aakhri waqt ki dekhbhal at home — comfort, pain relief, dignity and someone experienced in the room. That is palliative care, and it is some of the most important work we do.

Palliative Care charges in Lahore — how pricing works
Palliative care is charged per shift, like other continuous duty. We are deliberately flexible on it: families in this situation are often already exhausted financially as well as emotionally, and we would rather agree an arrangement that can be sustained for as long as it is needed than one that has to be stopped after a fortnight.
What you are billed for
12-hour day or night duty
An experienced attendant or nurse present for the shift where the family needs it most.
24-hour cover
Continuous presence in the final phase, by a rotation who all know the patient.
Nurse visits for symptom control
Scheduled visits for pain relief, mouth care and positioning where continuous cover is not yet needed.
Family respite cover
Short blocks so a family carer can sleep. Often the most valuable thing we provide.
What moves the price up or down
- Whether the case needs a nurse or an experienced attendant
- Day, night or continuous cover
- The complexity of symptom management involved
- Duration, with long bookings at a lower daily rate
Get an exact quote before anything begins
We do not publish a single flat rate because it would be misleading — the honest figure depends on your patient. Call or WhatsApp us with the diagnosis, what the patient can still do unaided and your area of Lahore, and we will quote a specific number. Whatever is agreed is what you pay; nothing is added to the bill afterwards.
Palliative Care in Lahore — FAQs
What is the difference between palliative care and hospice care?
Palliative care focuses on comfort and symptom relief and can begin at any stage of a serious illness, sometimes alongside active treatment. Hospice care generally refers to comfort care in the final phase of life. At home in Lahore, we provide both under one service.
Can you manage severe pain at home?
Yes. Our nurses administer prescribed pain medication, including injectable analgesia, on a proper schedule and monitor how well it is working. If pain is not adequately controlled we contact the treating doctor promptly so the prescription can be revised.
Can the family stay involved in the care?
Very much so, and we encourage it. We guide family members on what they can safely do, explain what is happening at each stage, and make sure they are supported rather than replaced. Most families find this is what they need most.
Do you provide female nurses?
Yes. We have both male and female staff, and for palliative care we assign a female nurse or female attendant to female patients as a matter of routine — not as a special request. Bathing, catheter care, changing and any procedure needing privacy are always handled by same-gender staff where the family wants that. Tell us when you call on 0302 5286596 so we assign correctly the first time.
What are your charges?
Palliative care is billed by 12-hour day or night duty and 24-hour cover. Palliative care is charged per shift, like other continuous duty. The exact figure depends on your case, so call or WhatsApp 0302 5286596 and we will quote it clearly before anything begins — agreed in advance, with nothing added to the bill afterwards.
Do you cover Shadman, Gulberg, Samanabad, Model Town and other areas of Lahore?
Yes. We provide palliative care across Shadman, Gulberg, Samanabad, Model Town, Cantt, Askari, Township, Faisal Town, Johar Town and the surrounding areas of Lahore, including DHA, Garden Town, Muslim Town, Wapda Town, Bahria Town, Ali Town and Allama Iqbal Town. If your locality is not on that list, call 0302 5286596 — we cover Lahore city as a whole and almost certainly reach you.
How fast can a nurse reach us?
We move quickly on these cases. An assessment visit is normally same-day, and cover can usually begin within 24 hours. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, including nights, Sundays and public holidays, on 0302 5286596.
